Grady Sizemore

Postby Chilly » Mon Apr 26, 2010 7:32 pm

.220, no HR, 1 SB, 16K's, 5 BB's. After a strong spring, I was thinking he was back.

Is he injured and not letting on, or just a cold streak?

Trying to decide if I should start shopping him while I can, or hold tight. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Not likely to get many good bites on the trade block. I think you've just got to ride out the storm and hope for the best for now.

He is rather streaky.

As a Sizemore owner I can tell you that you probably are not going to get much for him and you basically have to hope he can turn it around. Maybe a move back to leadoff would help? How do we make that happen?

I'm hoping it's just him being streaky and pushing. He did have a great spring, with a few HR's and SB's while hitting something like .360. But in the back of my mind, I'm worried he's playing hurt.

I've put him on the trade block to see if anything comes in, but I'm not expecting much.

this is also purely speculation on my part, but I think hes hiding an injury to his back. If you recall, he was hitting somewhat well coming out of the gate (.300 or so with some RBI). He hasn't done jack since he went out a couple games with a back strain. I don't think he or the team gave it enough time to heal properly.

Put simply, hes not this bad.
