Postby steamer33 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 5:13 am

Both these guys suck right now, which one do you like better? I have Jones & am thinking of a 1 for 1 swap.

i like markakis better, but really dont have a great reason.
Markakis has a better average
similar homeruns, similar steals
projections have markakis with a higher weighted on base average.

its about even... my personal preference is markakis... but thats just cuz i like him more, not cuz of his stats....

C: A. J. Pierzynski
1B: Anthony Rizzo
2B: Robinson Cano
3B: Adrian Beltre
SS: Jose Reyes
2B/SS: DJ LeMahieu
1B/3B: Josh Donaldson
OF: Jose Bautista, Andrew McCutchen, Ryan Braun, Matt Kemp, Carlos Gonzalez
Util: Prince Fielder
DL: Jonathan Lucroy
Bench: Matt Holliday, Gregory Polanco, Chris Davis, Jay Bruce, Adeiny Hechavarria
P: Mark Melancon, Fernando Rodney, Francisco Rodriguez, Neftali Feliz, Jeurys Familia, Jason Grilli
ESPN 10 team H2H each category. Before you say anything about it, I know I don't have any SP. This strategy has brought me to the championship game 5 of the last 6 years.

Jones has the potential to out homer and particularly out steal Markakis. Nick should finish with the higher average.

Jones is all about upside while Markakis is what he is at this point.

Markakis is overvalued everywhere. He's at his ceiling while Jones has a ways to go. The ups and downs with Jones will be greater but at this point in the year I'd take the risk.
