I have nearly the exact same issue. But I have to drop one or the other (or possibly Cameron Maybin) for Chase Headley. I can't figure out where to go with this one. I think I'm ready to give up on Chris Davis, which is ridiculous after 3 weeks. On the other hand, his 1B/3B eligibility in my league makes him a valuable backup whereas Rasmus is a little more fungible.

But like I said, tough call, so I'll be waiting on other ppl's answers...

Chris Davis is doing the exact same crap that got him sent to the minors last season, only this year Smoak is much closer to being ready to start for the Rangers. The Rangers may well wait only long enough for Smoak to lose his Super 2 status before calling him up and sending Davis to the bench or the minors.

Rasmus is seeing the ball really well early on (great O-zone swing percentage and K:BB ratio), but his BABIP right now is below .200. Colby will come around doing exactly what he's doing right now and is safe in his job. Can't say the same things for Davis.

At least Rasmus will steal you a base now and then. I drafted Davis last round but dropped him for Rasmus, and I'm hoping last week's one-hit-performance was due to the same flu which wiped out Holliday. Now Chase Headley, he's still available in my H2H but Michael Young keeps doing JUST enough to hang onto him...

that being said, my vote's for Rasmus.

The decision comes down between owning a guy that will play or a guy that will be playing... in AAA.

Fantasy baseball owners are a fickle bunch, so Mr. Rasmus' 3B-2HR explosion should settle this Chris D/Colby debate...for now :)

Now, the new question is should I quickly pull my trade offer of Rasmus-AJ Burnett for Matt Holliday? I'm willing to sacrifice a SP in my H2H because we only have one reserve and I have nobody I consider expendable, so I miss out on streaming the FA double-start flavor of the week. Roll with Colby or try to land the big fish? Thanks. (Holliday's owner is big Yankees fan.)

Rasmus, without question. You can at least platoon him against righties (i think that's the favorable split) until he comes around on lefties.

I've got both these guys & Davis is killing my team. I don't know how many more 0-4 (2Ks) I can take. I like Rasmus a lot.

I agree. Aside from the fact that Davis sucks, Rasmus will at least have an MLB career. Davis' will be over very soon.
