Who are your "holds" candidates to break out in 2010? Any discussion, advice or opinions are encouraged.

The intent is to put together a solid mixed league list of 8th inning guys, who can help your squad's whip, era, ks, holds and provide a sneaky win here and there...

Here is my Top 20 list (in alphabetical order) some standard common names and other "sleepers" to consider.

1. Mike Adams - SD
2. Jeremy Affedlt - SF
3. Daniel Bard - BOS
4. Rafael Betancourt - COL
5. Scott Downs - TOR
6. Luke Gregerson - SD
7. Matt Guerrier - MIN
8. Juan Gutierrez - ARZ
9. Mark Lowe - SEA
10. Ryan Madson - PHI
11. Sean Marshall - CHI(c)
12. Nick Masset - CIN
13. Evan Meek - PIT
14. Jason Motte - STL
15. Hideki Okajima - BOS
16. Kevin Jepsen - ANA
17. Takashi Saito - ATL
18. George Sherril - LAD
19. Matt Thornton - CHI(w)
20. Michael Wuertz - OAK

5 Others to watch: Todd Coffey - MIL, Dan Meyer - FLA, Peter Moylan - ATL, Ryan Perry - DET, Ramon Troncoso - LAD

Seems like a decent list. I'd probably have Perry higher, but to each's own.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

BTW, I just punted Masset. Done watching his 3rd shit outing in 4 tries - replaced with George Sherrill, who cant get any worse. Sitting happy with 3 set-up guys all from NL WEST now.

I have holds in my league, and I particularly like Joba Chamberlain. He may not be the greatest for all stat categories, but given he's both SP and RP eligible in ESPN, I can plop him in a SP spot and forget about him, unless I have three SPs going on one day. I then get to use my RP/P slots on closer types.

Carlos Villaneuva may fit that bill also
