Votto/Bourn for AGon

Postby john » Tue Apr 20, 2010 8:58 pm

Two possible trades...My team is in the signature...

1. I was just offered his Votto/Bourn for my AGon. I probably don't need to do this trade, but I do love me some Votto. Thoughts?

2. This trade hasn't been proposed but I'm thinking about countering with it so how about Votto/Werth for AGon/Bay?

I like that counter but I wonder if he'll go for it.

I have Votto and Phillips and i love having them back to back in the lineup. I think Votto will end up having a better year than AGon. I like the counter also. Get Votto.

As I pretty much guessed, he rejected the counter offer...

I don't really like or want Bourn but I could possibly trade him for another piece, so should I go with the original offer of Votto/Bourn for my AGon?

If you did that deal I guess you would drop Desmond? I am not crazy about that deal for you.

Yeah... I think you hang on to Gonzalez unless the guy dazzles you with an offer because all things equal I'd want Gonzalez. Bourn is floating around the free agent pool in both my 12 team H2H leagues.

Yea, I don't like it much either but was seeing if someone could convince me otherwise. And I don't know if I have anything else that he wants so I guess I'll have to wait until later in the year to grab me some Votto.

Thanks for all the help.

Guess I'm the odd one out in that I'd take Votto and Bourn for AGon. I think Votto outperforms AGon all by himself and subbing Bourn in for McLouth looks like a good idea to me. Could use some more speed other than Reyes/Wright anyhow.

I'd drop Franklin Morales to make room as you have plenty of closers already.

Thanks havok, you've put me back on the fence, haha. I mean I agree Votto is gonna be really good this year and probably the all around better player, but I just haven't decided if I need AGon's little bit of extra power more than I need Votto's other stats. Right now, my team is operating beneath its power threshold and its costing me in my H2H. So, it's a kind of a toss up for me.

Grey, you watching this thread at all?
