Teixiera Trade

I have Mark Teixiera and I was offered Tommy Hanson and Billy Butler.....
Here is my current team.... I'm currently last in my roto pool. Please help me make a proper decision.

Don't do it. Your pitching is fine the way it is so no need for Tommy, and Butler doesn't seem to add a lot to your team. You drafted Tex knowing he's a slow starter (as did I and it sure does hurt) but when he starts heating up, boy will you be glad you didn't pull the trigger on this trade. In the meantime, your depth at 1B is exactly what you need, so there should be no need to change anything. Morneau, Cantu, Pena, Dunn, Pablo even. Shoot. You're fine.

Seriously...Bench Tex until next month, he'll heat up and you'll get the production you drafted him for. If you are going to trade him, you can do a lot better than Tommy Hanson and Billy Butler.....

Honestly, Tex has become such a notorious slow starter that if you're going to spend your 1st round pick on him you have to be mentally prepared to just bench him for the first month of the season. I know it sounds insane to bench a 1st round pick but the numbers don't lie.

Do NOT trade him... just wait out the storm.
