This thread is pretty funny.

I've kept Davis 2 years in a row now. Keeping him this year was like having 3 of a kind and calling a raise with 3 diamonds on the board. You just know, when you slide your chips in the middle that you're about to go broke, but you just can't resist.

I still say he would have snapped out of it if they gave him a chance. Oh well.

The arc on this thread is monumental. Raise the Chris Davis memorial plaque!

So will Texas be smart and try and find some trade value for the guy? It's obvious they are making it clear he is the fallback girlfriend of the relationship. Why not just try and get some prospects out of him while he still has 'potential' rather than jerking him around. Kid needs a fresh start at this point.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.

What would you guys do with Chris Davis in a dynasty? Would you try and get anything for him, or just keep him on the bench until he comes back up or gets traded?

Does he have any trade value in a dynasty?

I'm struggling with the same thing right now in a 12-team 12 keeper and 10-team 20-keeper dynasty too. Rough call.

I don't think trading Davis in a dynasty would make much sense. His value is crap. Unless a big believer offers a great trade, hanging on is probably all you can do, depending on the league format.

I hate to even bring such a thing up, but Justin Smoak had 5 RBI in his 15 games in OKC this season . Davis already has 5 in his 1st 2 games. He's got a HR and is 3 for 8 so far.
Smoak is 1 for 11 in the bigs.

Not that any of that means anything, but it's certainly possible for Smoak to struggle (like he did when he 1st got to AAA) and Davis to catch fire.
