Matt Laporta

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk about this guy. Former top prospect, key piece in the CC deal with Milwaukee, still only 25, named a starter either in LF or 1B for a Cleveland team that has a lot of incentive to give him playing time.

It's interesting how certain post-hype guys get a lot of sleeper attention but some are just absolutely off the map. He can really hit - forecasts are in the .350 wOBA range, which is pretty interesting considering he hasn't really had even a modicum of success at the major league level. I'm targeting LaPorta late in every league I'm in this year.

I know he's had some injury issues, but do other people feel like this is a potential Carlos Quentin - 2008 type of guy?

Here's his fangraphs page - check out his 2 longest minor league stops. He raked! http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=2280&position=OF

Could be a solid post-hype sleeper, but his upside isn't as good as Quentin.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
