my choices @ SS

Postby and1mcgee » Sun Feb 28, 2010 8:38 pm

for the upcoming draft, minus keepers, I can choose between:

Alexei Ramirez
Elvis Andrus
Jason Bartlett

that's pretty much it since JJ Hardhead isn't an option and neither is Miguel "Mentiroso" Tejada...

I am leaning toward Bartlett but I am torn cuz I had Alexei all year last year and when I give up on a guy (See Tulo, Troy), they usually go off the next year like Michael Phelps on a bong.

help, grey

I'd want Andrus.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I regret keeping Brian Roberts over Chris Carpenter, but looking forward...

what should I target in the draft, Grey?

http://games.espn.go.com/flb/clubhouse? ... 1&teamId=2

I was thinking of drafting Andrus with my 1st round (2nd pick) to fill my glaring SS hole.

Thanks, Grey

It makes it too hard on me to go back and forth between sites. If you want, put your team in the signature.

those are my keepers. I have the 2nd pick in the draft and I was going to pick up Andrus to fill my SS hole. I don't think I could go for a SP and rely on Andrus being there for the 2nd round (really, the 9th round since it is keeper). Rather than telling me who to draft, since I can't put all the options here, which positions should I go for? Guys like Caballo and Nelson Cruz and Quentin and Ethier and Carlos Pena and Derrek Lee are available in the conversation of "best player available", however...

maybe I could draft BPA (best player available) and then rely on the Everths and the Yunel Escobars later on for SS? SP-wise, it goes Vazquez and Wandy and Billingsley and Beckett and Jimenez... I expect Vazquez to be gone before my next turn, and I'm going to be upset if I don't get either Montero or Napoli...

thanks grey. my apologies on the link previously and for the wordiness here.

No problem, just makes it easier for me like this. Well, you can't have everyone you want, but you already have two outfielders. I'd go with a SP maybe two then a SS then an SP or an OF. Basically, grab some pitching because you already have bats.
