Gallardo....

Postby Frank Rizzo » Mon Feb 15, 2010 12:43 pm

Grey, I was looking at SP's today and noticed both Adam Wainwright and Josh Johnson both had large innings boosts over the previous year. I'm not completely sure why Gallardo is on your list of SP's you don't trust vs. these other 2 guys. Gallardo only went 185 innings last year. Why are you singling him out?

Agree with you Mr. Rizzo. Gallardo is a beast. Check his minor league performances on top of his success in his (healthy) major league seasons. He is a big boy too.

Remember he had a knee injury in 08, nothing to do with his arm.

Yeah, I know it was a knee injury, but I hate that he went from 30 innings to 180. As I said in the rankings, it might burn me ignoring him this year, so I'm on the fence, but I'd prefer not to risk it.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I get that but how is Gallardo more of a risk than Josh Johnson?

Johnson's 26 to Gallardo's 23, critical years in the pitcher's development.
