was wondering

Postby yak rider » Sat Jul 11, 2009 7:17 am

i would like to try an experiment and see how a team of high on base guys with power would do in a h2h yahoo fantasy league. i'm thinking guys like dunn at first and cust and swisher in the outfield, branyan at first or third if dunn plays outfield etc. we use on base instead of average anyway and then the rest of the offensive cats are typical. i'm thinking jd drew might fit the mold????? how bout catchers? napoli? middle infielders? i really don't want the high on base to be a result of a very very high batting average. i want power types (or at least relatively speaking in case of mid infielders) older examples would be like a bobby grich gene tenace etc. wow am i dating myself. anyway, can ya think of any players that might fit the mold i'm looking for to field a team? thanks
last night on the mlb channel barry larkin said he equated that he thought thames reminded him of branyan. agree?
nevermind, i just looked up thames' on base and 313 ain't cuttin it for what i am looking for.

Drew would be good there. Napoli's okay, decent for a catcher. Casey McGehee's been good on OBP. Coghlan... (I'm just trying to think of guys that might be on your waivers.)

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
