Who you hatin'?

Postby benchland » Tue Apr 08, 2014 7:29 pm

The Cespedes thread had me thinking about a post that could help us all year and provide something to laugh at at the end of the season: which guy on your roster is just pissing you off who you want to drop or trade for $0.02 on the dollar? This thought is kind of self serving in theory (but could help us all down the road) as I want to pounce on trade bait while my value is high and the target could be perceived as low, providing a great buy opportunity. I'll lead off!

Justin Masterson. I want to drop him so bad.

I bought him pretty much on Grey love and because I was drinking too much in my draft. I just don't see enough upside for a 10 team league. I could stream his year end stats easily I'd think.

Dude gets one more start. If he has <=2ER and 6k he will live for another.

I got two for you. Biggest one is Prince Fielder. Dude usually hits between .285-.300 and crushes the ball. I could live with a power drought, but he has been just awful to start the season. I thought for sure that he would mash in the rangers park, hopefully he picks it up soon.

Second is Hunter Pence. His numbers are just sickening. I can't even blame it on playing with a new team, seeing as how he has been with SF for 1 1/2 years now. I guess age is catching up with him?

Matt Cain: As a Giants fan I love him, but he's been awful in two starts. This is the second year in a row I've overpaid for him ($54 last year!), and once again he has me worried. I may even sit him for the next start. I had Vargas, Ventura, Hudson, and Colon throw already this week so I don't need his stats, but I don't want him to shit the bed again.

Last year I traded him in July for Adam Jones, a deal that worked out well for both teams as we made the playoffs. This year? We'll see . . .

I'm adding Gyorko to this list. Played him for the first time this year because he had a double header today and did have a hit yesterday. The bum just popped up with the bases loaded 1 out to go 7 for 0 for the day. He is toast...f him.

I got your frustration right here.

McCann
Fielder
Headly/Lawrie
Braun
Puig
Holliday
Markakis
Fister

After Little League Puig decided to slide head first I had to change the name of my team to "Two Thumbs Down" In honor of him AND Braun.
