League strategy...H2H

Postby HeadDownGolf » Sat Feb 08, 2014 2:34 pm

Last year I discovered this site with all this invaluable advice and won a number of leagues. I have adopted the same strategy going into this year with heavy batting early...pitching late. While practicing I saw someone go for Aces up front...I mean got em all along with RPs. He focused on SB and avg for the batters he did get.

Are there some diverging opinions here considering the possibility of winning all the pitching stats as well as SB...and maybe BA?

Win 6-7 stats every week...you win?

I'll have a H2H strategy post in the coming weeks...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Am I missing something here? I've tested this draft strategy from early, middle and late in 12 team mocks. H2H pick up power first 3 rounds...then hit the RP and fill in with speed, etc...

EXample:

Rosario
Fielder
Gyorko
Andrus
R Zimmerman
A Jones
B Hamilton
Alejando de Aza
Pujols
Brantley

Teheran
Liriano
Masterson
Corbin
Tillman

Kimbrel
Holland
Robertson

and some bench...

Here are the stats according to the war room:
R 109% HR 114% RBI 113% SB 107% AVG 103%

W 82% Ks 91% ERA 106% WHIP 106% SVs 137%

Isn't this a winning combination in H2H?

Found my problem. Instead of deleting the team in War Room I would just delete all the players and start over...not noticing there would be some residual Total that would be added to the new lineup.

The previous lineup would read:

R 98% HR 97% RBI 99% SB 106% Avg 102%

W 82% K 91% ERA 106% WHIP 106% SV 137%

Close...but not as good
