I'm doing streaming in two yahoo leagues (with limits on innings pitched), but the results are still positive. I went all out in hitters and then drafted the best RP that were available. In both leagues, I drafted only one SP and that was Alex Cobb in the very late rounds. Here are my results that have my RP stats included:

Team 1: B. Inge Drinking
Innings pitched: 526.2 (-87.0 of the projected limit)
Wins: 28
Saves: 106
K's: 461
ERA: 3.37
WHIP: 1.13

If you want to look at this league: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/2045
-- With a limit of innings pitched I have kept the SP of Travis Wood, and Alex Cobb on my roster.

Team 2: Beatnik Butcher
Innings pitched: 539.1 (-74.1 of the projected limit)
Wins: 37
Saves: 84
K's: 458
ERA: 3.20
WHIP: 1.09

If you want to look at this league: http://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/723
-- With a limit on innings pitched I have kept the SP of Hyun-Jin Ryu, Patrick Corbin, Travis Wood, and Alex Cobb on my roster.

Update on pitching stats with predominately streaming and 6 closers:

Team 1: B. Inge Drinking
Innings pitched: 744.0 (-70.2 of the projected limit)
Wins: 42
Saves: 141
K's: 639
ERA: 3.13
WHIP: 1.10

Team 2: Beatnik Butcher
Innings pitched: 778.1 (-36.1 of the projected limit)
Wins: 53
Saves: 114
K's: 662
ERA: 3.01
WHIP: 1.08

Wins and K's are the only two categories that I'm not ranked #1 or #2. Wins/Ks rankings are currently skewed with teams projected to reach the 1468 innings allowed faster than others.

An update on my streaming team, My Mustache Has A Mustache who happen to be #1 in the RCL overall standings right now.

Full Time Starters:
41 GS - 258.7 IP - 185 Ks - 17 W - 3.90 ERA - 1.16 WHIP - 6.4 K/9 - 2.5 K/BB
Streamers:
67 GS - 409.3 IP - 320 Ks - 33 W - 3.19 ERA - 1.20 WHIP - 7.0 K/9 - 2.7 K/BB
Relievers:
310 IP - 372 Ks - 12 W - 98 SV - 3.08 ERA - 1.17 WHIP - 10.8 K/9 - 3.0 K/BB

My streamers and relievers seem to be getting better and better, whereas my full time starters are getting worse. That wasn't helped by owning Harvey when he first came up, or Dickey for basically every other start he's had. I'm hoping that adding Peavy and Strasburg helps to turn that around though.

That 3.19 ERA that my streamers have would be good for first overall in my RCL, by a decent margin too.

The other nice thing about this streaming thing is that I'm constantly coming into closers, which make for good trade pieces. I've traded Benoit, Veras, Brothers and Holland. Hell I traded Benoit and lost Grilli to injury the other day, but I happened to have Melancon, and I'd just picked up Henderson so I ended up with the same amount of closers as before.

That's a good question Fred......Originally I was going to have 2 (Dickey / Zimmerman) because I had to do something with my roster spots. I figured 3 bench spots, 2 for starters, 1 for if I need a bat due to injury or day off or something. That would let me have 8/9 relievers and a streamer in the lineup all the time.

I traded Zimm a couple months into the season for more offense, and took a shot on Wheeler (I meant Wheeler, not Harvey in my last post). That didn't work out too well though so I dropped him, leaving me with just Dickey. Peavy I grabbed as a FA about a week before he came back from the DL.

I've just traded for Strasburg because the only place I really need much in the standings is in WHIP, and I figure he should help there plenty. Plus, I can only start so many bats and with trading closers (& Zimm) for upgrades on offense all year I keep finding myself with starter quality bats that are wasting away on my bench. With this strategy I don't really like to have bats sitting on the bench, so I had to do something with them. Normally I'd 2 for 1 to upgrade another offensive position, but, I figured I'd grab an elite SP this time since the price seemed good.

To sum it up, what else would I do with those roster spots?

Nothing like talking fantasy baseball in November. I'm a full convert to the practice of streaming pitchers with the draft strategy focused on hitters. Even in a Yahoo league with limited innings of 1400 (12 team/standard 5x5/rotisserie/daily) the results were very good. My final results for both teams:

Team 1: B. Inge Drinking
Innings pitched: 1396 (-4.0 of the limit)
Wins: 94 (Ranked 2nd / leader: 96)
Saves: 214 (Ranked 1st)
K's: 1253 (Ranked 4th / Leader: 1398)
ERA: 3.27 (Ranked 2nd / Leader: 2.98)
WHIP: 1.15 (Ranked 2nd / Leader: 1.11)

This team finished 2nd in overall standings. Only 2 starting pitchers had 10 or more starts: Alex Cobb, Travis Wood

Team 1: Beatnik Butcher
Innings pitched: 1397.2 (-2.8 of the limit)
Wins: 95 (Ranked 3rd / Leader: 104)
Saves: 196 (Ranked 2nd / Leader: 197)
K's: 1223 (Ranked 4th / Leader: 1474)
ERA: 3.30 (Ranked 4th / Leader: 2.99)
WHIP: 1.18 (Ranked 3rd / Leader: 1.16) [1st: 1.16 / 2nd: 1.175 / me: 1.178]

This team tied for 1st in overall standings. Only 3 starting pitchers had 10 or more starts: Patrick Corbin, Hyun-jin Ryu, Jhoulys Chacin

-- The overview is that streaming pitchers will making you very competitive in pitching stats. The noticeable drawback is that your team's K's will be more middle of the rankings and not top tier.

I don't think Ks are necessarily off the board if you stream, but you do need great middle relievers bolstering your Ks while you chase ratios and wins... Ks are definitely harder to come by from streaming pitchers...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
