Did a few mocks tonight, my strategy going in is to target a few guys that typically go on the much later rounds so I can focus on other guys early on.

I am trying to snag Rutledge for 2B/SS and either Frazier/Middlebrooks for 3B. To pair with Goldy at 1B.

The Rutledge/MBrooks/Frazier bunch have an ADP in the RD14-18 range, but I see them going earlier, around 11-13. Is it bad to strike first and grab these guys after the 10th round, or am I shooting myself in the foot?

It always depends on who you are taking them over. I do think it is a bit risky and wouldn't even think about it if there are better players on the board. Each draft can be different and then you have weigh how much you think that player will break out.

In a snake draft, you gotta reach for who you want dude, no question about it.

Do not fret about grabbing someone 15,20 or 30 spots ahead of his ADP. If you do not think that player will make it back to you, get him.

I had this same discussion lat March 19th about Mike Trout and the owner was worried about taking Trout in round 15...........look how that turned out for him.
