Batting stats: R,HR,RBI,AVG,OPS,S,CS,K,
Pitching stats: W,L,S,ERA,K,WHIP,TB
My league has added 3 new categories this season; caught stealing and strikeouts for batters. And total bases allowed for pitchers.
That being said my inherent feeling is to go heavy on power hitters and mostly ignore speed. At least in the early rounds. This is with the intent on basically canceling out steals and caught stealing. Is this a wise decision? Or should I take a more balanced approach?
I also had no intention of drafting pitchers before the 4th round, but I feel that with the addition of total bases allowed I should try to reach for a couple of aces. Or I could possibly just go heavy on relievers. How would these stats effect your draft strategy with pitchers?
Thanks in advance for any insight.
