Draft Help

Postby KnightRyder » Sat Mar 16, 2013 9:14 pm

My league is a 10 team 5x5 roto keeper league with OBP and Quality Starts (standard ESPN lineup). I am starting out with these keepers (round the player costs):
Justin Verlander (3)
Matt Wieters (18)
Brett Lawrie (21)
Eric Hosmer (22)
Stephen Strasburg (23)
Mike Trout (24)

I will have the sixth pick and am trying to figure out what combo would be best for my first 2 picks. I am looking most likely at Fielder or McCutchen in the 1st round. Options in the second include Bautista, Hanley, Reyes, and Longo. I like Ike Davis in the later rounds, I believe I could get him in the 5th if I did not draft Fielder. I see Hosmer more as a corner infielder at this point but I am hoping for a bounce back year. Any advice on which way to go?
Thanks in advance

McCutchen over Fielder. You already have a 1B so I would look to fill another position. Then look for a 1B later. Then I would probably grab one of the SS. Again you already have a 3B so even though I like Longoria the most out of that second group, I don't think it would be good for your roster to take him over Reyes or Hanley.
