Hanley Ramirez needs surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb and will be out for two months.
Hanley injured the thumb Tuesday while diving for a ball near the third base bag in the World Baseball Classic championship game against Team Puerto Rico. The Dodgers didn't want him to play the hot corner at all in the event and are probably more than upset. Hanley's fantasy value obviously takes a massive hit. Dee Gordon and Luis Cruz are next in line for playing time at shortstop in Los Angeles
