Jimmy Rollins

Postby Brettj72 » Fri Feb 08, 2013 3:55 pm

Grey, I am a bit confused about Rollins. In your blurbs you have mostly negative things to say about him. "That should give you an idea of how bad Rollins could potentially be." That's me quoting you. On the other hand, you rank Rollins 47 overall which is higher than every other expert out there.

I am in a 14 team 5x5 H2H standard Yahoo league. Should I be looking at Rollins in the 5th-6th round?

Rollins was the the best SS last year... He is a year older, but he should still be worthwhile... I'm not sure why others are so down on him... 5-6th round sounds great for Rollins...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Not sure I would take Rollins in the 6th round but I would be ok with him being my SS. A lot of people are pretty down on him and the hope would be that he would drop enough for you to get him at a great price.

Thanks Grey. Yeah, according to Yahoo Rollins was the best SS. I don't know what their formula is but their ranks for 2012 are:

48. Rollins
51. Jeter
53. Reyes
59. Desmond
66. Hanley
77. Castro

Rollins was better than Jeter in every category except average. (and hot chicks slept with)
