Brett Lawrie 2013...

Postby raftman » Sun Nov 11, 2012 4:53 pm

What do you guys think of Lawrie in 2013? Last year wasn't the big breakout everyone was hoping for... is 2013 going to be?

I'm drafting in a dynasty league right now and am considering taking him with my 4th or 5th round pick... way too early?

I think he will break out at some point, and it could easily be 2013... I'm going to rank him and draft like 2013 will be his year... That's not way too early to draft him...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Sweet. Glad you agreed... went ahead and drafted him right as the run on third basemen started, so I feel really solid about it. On the way back through, I draft Matt Moore as my first pitcher... hoping that pans out. All the top tier pitchers were taken (fine by me) so I felt Moore was the one left who had the biggest upside.

Thanks again for the insight!

Well I hate him because he sucked last year and I reached. So, if history holds, I will refuse to draft him even if he falls a little and someone will get a steal. As long as I (and many other burnt owners from last year) don't convince myself to draft him where he probably should be drafted, I think you are golden.
Where did you draft him btw?

I ended up drafted him somewhere in the 60's in a 16 team Dynasty League. I was lucky and Wright, Zimmerman, etc all went right before I picked, so I felt good picking him at the spot considering the drop off of talent I was seeing after Lawrie. ....
