The Yahoo fantasy app on my phone is notifying me that he has been dropped in more than 1000 leagues. Is this just a coincidence, or is there something I don't know? Seems strange for all these teams to drop him the day of a start.

Edit: Maybe people are just scared of the six man rotation? Up to 1700 leagues now

In most Yahoo! leagues, add/drops are reflected on the next day's roster. So maybe people picked him up only to stream him against SD and will be done with him after this start.

It seems the Braves favor Medlen out of the pen rather than as a starter, and they think that prospects like Delgado and Teheran project as better starters in the future. Also their rotation is loaded w/ guys like Beachy, Hudson, Sheets, Minor, Maholm, etc. It's unfortunate their organization doesn't think more highly of Medlen, because I really enjoy trotting him out there for his starts.

Not sure I understand that. The notification is saying he has been dropped and the number keeps going up as if its a live count. 1830 drops now. I don't know whether you are able to drop a guy at a future date, or designate him for drop tomorrow or something.

Everyone who is a streamer picked him up on Wednesday for their roster on Thursday. (he is a 129 on the stream-o-nator) Then dropped him today for someone else that is most likely pitching on Friday.

The Braves are running a six man rotation for the rest of the month so Medlen is probably not going back to the pen, especially when you look at his numbers as a starter.
