The rotation is confusing me.

I hear they are chasing Grienke. Does who do we think they will trade to get him and what will it do to the rotation? Think Medlen gets a chance if they don't make a change?

Talking to the Braves fans here in the office.. They all want Medlan to start but there a major logjam there.

Current rotation is Hudson, Hanson, Jurrjens, Sheets, Minor. Randal Delgado appears odd man out if a trade were to happen. He was headed to Chicago at one point. Then you have Medlen who is dominating out of the pen. But, if they do manage to add Greinke, I suspect that Jair is gone.

They have a ton of pitching prospects. Julio Tehran is out there too. And of course Beachy is done for a year with TJ.

Braves fan also.

Jurjens is garbage. One more awful start, I think they send him back down and recall terhan.

They will definitely acquire a pitcher. Who that may be is hard to say at this point, Greinke is the target but several other teams are also in the mix for him. Every pitcher who is on the block is a possibility.
Best case: Greinke worst case: someone like Correia but the will get a pitcher.

If they get a lower-tier pitcher like Correia, I think they will slide delgado or teheran into the long relief role and finally give Medlen a rotation spot.

This is all speculation though. Hell Frank Wren may go to his standby tactic of signing some washed up bum like Jamie Moyer.

All I know is that Frank Wren and Fredi Gonzales have been frustrating the hell out of me all year long.

thinking i might take a flyer on Medlen in hope that he gets a shot. statistically he seems to be doing well anyway as a reliever though. 3 shutout the other day could be handy.

Just read on MLBTR that the braves might not be looking for starters any more but shifting focus towards pullpen and bench help. No idea what to make of that.
