both are risks...I think Berkman got a stay of execution on his career...thought it was over...now he's back...if he does stay healthy...and I think he may have done a little bit extra over his DL stint to get in better shape...but if he does stay healthy...he'll play well.
I'd give the edge to Berkman...plus he has OF eligibility...but I'd try to trade either player...if you have both on your roster... Goldschmidt might get you a little more value...but ya never know until you try.
I'm assuming Puma is coming off DL on your roster?...if he's somehow on the wire...pick him up now if you can... try to deal Goldie...open up the spot...
I'd be upgrading a roster spot (hitter, pitcher)...reach high...throw in Goldie in the deal...there is your roster spot!
