Today’s streamers:

Griffin-OAK@MIN: next 2: HNYA,@TOR. Drop when today’s games lock.
Wind out 5 mph this a.m. A night game. GO.

Morales-BOS@TB: next: HCHA, @TEX, @NYA. Drop on lock.
Dome. GO.

Liriano-MINhOAK: next: HBAL, @CHA. Drop on lock.
Quintana-CHA@KC: next: @BOS, HMIN, @TEX (doesn’t seem worth a bench). Drop.(owned in my league)

No immediate Sa or Su streamers. If I see any, I will update.

This my current pitching staff:

Craig Kimbrel, Atl RP
Joaquin Benoit, Det RP
A.J. Griffin, Oak SP PP
Franklin Morales, Bos RP, SP PP
Steve Cishek, Mia RP
Luke Gregerson, SD RP
Jonathan Broxton, KC RP
Francisco Liriano, Min SP, RP PP
Wilton Lopez, Hou RP

Bench
Ryan Dempster, ChC SP
Jarrod Parker, Oak SP
Brandon League, Sea RP

With no immediate streamers to fill my drops, I will keep Dempster and Parker on my bench. I am running Parker SU@MIN, but don’t ID him as a streamer since he is 78% owned. If he is available, grab him.

I am sitting Dempster SA@AZ, but he projects good in each of his next SEVEN starts. That is subject to change as he is rumored on the trading block.

By adding TWO MRs, I will fill all of my active pitching slots for tomorrow. That actually leaves an extra bench spot to pick up whomever I want, even a hitter.

Here’s a list of MR I consider worthy to run daily. Lefty’s, especially, are routinely available since they are less likely to jump to the closer roll. Nevertheless, some return excellent Ks and periphs. No need to hold the non-closer types. As soon as one has pitched 2 innings, I drop and replace with a fresh arm—hey, just like a real manager!

0-Swing%
38.4 THORNTON(L)CHA
36.5 LINCOLN('R)PIT
37.5 PRYOR('R)SEA
33.1 RUSSEL(L)CHN
30.2 FURBUSH('L)SEA
32.4 BEATO(‘R)NYN
37.7 VILLARREAL('R)DET
33.0 VARVARO('R)ATL
36.7 E.ROGERS('R)CLE

HOT TIP; Sean Doolittle-OAK is .1% owned. He is a MUST own (owned in my league). He has blazing stuff, misses bats (37.2 0-Swing%), and is being groomed as future closer (even though a lefty). If trades/injuries occur, might get a few SV this year. I recently offered Dempster for him in my league and was turned down!

With Elias reporting the Red Sox with the toughest remaining schedule, a strike against owning their SP.

Isn't Pryor still on the DL?

Yes, but I have an extra bench spot, having dropped 3 streamers today.

Have already dropped Pryor though. Grey posted McAllister as a buy. Guess what? He is your next streamer M@TB. 4% owned. Just came off a 5.2 IP, 0 ER, 8K vs. TB home in his last.

This stuff is FLUID. Have to act when the opportunity arises.

Wouldn't De Vries make a decent stream for Sa?

3 QS in a row
No park factor
30 O-swing
OAK is 28th in OPS, 26th vs. LHP

Didn't crunch the rest of the numbers 'cause I'm just dipping my toe in, so I'm interested in your feedback.

Hey, Big Dipper--Niiiiice! Just grabbed him. You dialed it in just right. .3% owned. Folks must be afraid of the matchup against Milone. STREAM. Thank YOU!

Cool, glad I've got the general gist of things. This type of analysis is right up my alley and one of the bigger reasons why I love FBB.

I've got a work-in-progress spreadsheet that lets me copy/paste the MLB.com schedule into it and immediately see if there is a park factor (good or bad) and if the SP opponent's OPS ranking is top ten (shows me zero points), 11-20 (shows me 1 point), or 21+ (shows me 2 points). I then drop an "x" in another column if I know the SP is owned.

If there is a bad park factor, a "0" from opponent's OPS, or an SP is owned, then "NO" will appear next to the SP's name. You with me so far?

Next, I have a column that checks to see if there's already a "NO" for the SP... if there isn't, and there is a 2 for opponent's OPS, then it shows "CHECK" to let me know they have the better matchups and should be checked first.

If I could find a way to get O-swing data from some outside source into my spreadsheet, it would be awesome, as that would allow me to not only not have to look that up, but also have it be one of the first auto-check criteria.

By the way, when I do this for Sunday, the only names with "CHECK" next to them are Duensing and Marquis:

Duensing - over 30 O-swing, but horrible recent outings

Marquis - 27.4 O-swing, QS in 2 of last 5 (2 of the non-QS were @ARI and @COL, though), LAD is ranked 21 against RHP

Seems like Marquis would be a borderline stream, yeah?
