What to expect of him?? Is he a starting pitcher or just going to be a reliever?? Should I start him over Tommy Milone if he's called up and named a starter??

You really shouldn't be starting Milone outside of OAK anyway.

Braves aren't clear on Medlen's role yet...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

He pitched 2 solid innings out of the bulpen tonight. He is a good pitcher, but I think fredi gonzalez is a jackass. minor and delgado have each had one solid start since medlen was sent down, so all of a sudden their rotation is saved. Freddie willprobably strech medlen out again when either starts sucking again.

As a Braves fan I totally agree with you about Fredi Gonzalez being a jackass, but part of this also has to deal with Livan Hernandez sucking so badly (I haven't pitched since I graduated 7 years ago and I can still throw 8 MPH faster than Livan. He sucks so bad.) and getting designated... Someone has to be a long reliever in the pen and it makes sense to use Medlen, who has experience doing it already, rather than Delgado or Minor.
I hate it because Medlen could be such a good starter... If only the Jurrjens/Prado/Delgado for Adam Jones thing had worked out!

I agree that livan was a big liability, but they could have just slid Christian martenez back in to the long reliever spot. My problem with Freddie is not so much that he hurt my fantasy team, but more with his overall approach. He just seems too laid back, and often makes awful in game decisions imo. I love to see him get fired up or get ejected ever now and then. As a Braves fan myself, I was pumped when he took over but I have not been impressed so far.

Yeah, I don't think he really fights for his players... Nowhere near the way that Bobby Cox did, anyway, and he makes really bad decisions all the time, especially when it comes to the young guys... He's pulled Delgado and Teheran in the 5th or 6th inning when they had pitched lights out the entire game just because they let two guys get on base without recording an out. Both times, instead of giving them a chance to work through it (They hadn't given up any runs. Duh.) he brought in Livan Hernandez who promptly gave up several singles and doubles in a row, destroying the young guys' ERA while also destroying their confidence because he doesn't trust them to work through any trouble whatsoever.
And then there's his overuse of Venters and Kimbrel last year...
