Re: 14 team keeper maintenance

So here's how it went. Felt like a bit of a shambles - all the guys I wanted were gone before my first pick, picked Uggla by mistake and kept dropping my internet connection. Guy I wanted got taken close to my pick at least 5 times. Doesn't look too bad in the war room, though borderline on power and wins. Bit of a long tail on the pitching staff and a boring-ass Util/CI combo. That said, there's a decent IP cap in this league so some judicious streaming will help out in the pitching department.

Think most of the values were OK, but a bit underwhelming is my initial reaction. Still, I have Trout and Strasburg, so there's that. (Thanks royce!)

14 teams, 5x5...

C Rosario - Keeper
1B Hosmer - Keeper
2B Altuve - Keeper
3B Lawrie - Keeper
SS Desmond - Keeper
CI Wallace (263)
MI Uggla (179)
OF Trout - Keeper
OF Holliday - Keeper
OF Reddick (158)
OF Gardner (186)
Util Alonso (291)

SP Strasburg - Keeper
SP Zimmermann - Keeper
SP Morrow - Keeper
RP Motte (151)
RP Francisco (270)
RP Perez (207)
P Milone (214)
P Fiers (235)
P Gee (242)

BN Benoit (298)
BN Tillman (326)
BN Lind (319)
BN Marshall (347)
BN Rosenthal (354)

And for what it's Wuertz, here's the order I picked the non-keepers:

11. (151) Jason Motte (StL - RP)
12. (158) Josh Reddick (Oak - OF)
13. (179) Dan Uggla (Atl - 2B)
14. (186) Brett Gardner (NYY - OF)
15. (207) Chris Perez (Cle - RP)
16. (214) Tommy Milone (Oak - SP)
17. (235) Mike Fiers (Mil - SP)
18. (242) Dillon Gee (NYM - SP)
19. (263) Brett Wallace (Hou - 1B,3B)
20. (270) Frank Francisco (NYM - RP)
21. (291) Yonder Alonso (SD - 1B)
22. (298) Joaquin Benoit (Det - RP)
23. (319) Adam Lind (Tor - 1B)
24. (326) Chris Tillman (Bal - SP)
25. (347) Sean Marshall (Cin - RP)
26. (354) Trevor Rosenthal

Yeah, you do look low on power... Hosmer, Altuve, Wallace and Yonder might only hit 60 homers combined.... I wouldn't pick at the team now unless someone is sitting on waivers that is that much better... I actually like Uggla on this team for the above reason about being low on power... The pitching looks excellent...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

You missed Lind hiding there! Just checked your rankings and sorted by HR - Lind is the best guy of those left...

OK, I know it's early and that Strasburg and Trout have been merely human thus far, but this team is 8 points adrift in last place, after finishing 4th last year. Am I missing something? Is it really that bad?

Arcia, Reimold and Jimenez the best bats for those spots? I like them, but I'm wondering if there's anyone with a bit more going on currently...

Oh, there are bound to be others. I keep meaning to dump Reimold, but you think even in a keeper Arcia and Jiminez need to go? I guess they do to pick up more productive guys...

Other than that, just be patient?

Reimold and Jimenez aren't worth holding in your league for right now if they're not hitting...

Dropped Reimold for Joyce and Jiminez for Carter Capps - hate having that empty spot in the pitching roster...

OK, time to choose some keepers here. 14 teams, keep 10, guys can be kept as long as you want. Finished 8th with this ragged bunch last year. Can you even find 10?

This is the league where big o is trying to trade for Trout...

José Altuve
Ian Desmond
Matt Holliday
Eric Hosmer
Chris Johnson
Brett Lawrie
Brandon Moss
Alex Presley
Josh Reddick
Wilin Rosario
Mike Trout
Dan Uggla
Brett Wallace
Christian Yelich
Joaquín Benoit
Dane De La Rosa
Dillon Gee
David Huff
Jake McGee
Iván Nova
Chris Pérez
Garrett Richards
Kevin Siegrist
Stephen Strasburg
Chris Tillman
Jordan Zimmermann
