Slight possibility he gains 1B eligibility during the next interleague road trip.

No reason why not. You also have two util spots so you won't be handcuffed by a DH like most teams would. My opponent this week has Fielder, Votto, and Ortiz fighting for only two spots. He had Ortiz benched last night.
