Overhyped?? Or, just a fantasy bust?? Can he turn it around this season with the Giants platooning him with Brett Pill?? I heard on the radio today that his problem may stem from his height (6'5") and the length of his batting swing which allows pitchers to pound him on the inside where his bat can't reach the ball....or something like that....

I would love to see him have the slash line that Grey said he could have with everyday at bats: 25/10/~.280, but maybe this is just not the year it happens.....FWIW, it doesn't seem like he hit for a lot of power in the minors. The 10 HRs in 77 games back in Single-A was nice, but can that translate to the majors??

With 25% of the season over, and no HRs, a lot of people here in the Bay Area are questioning whether the hype around Belt was actually warranted....so, what exactly is wrong with Belt?? Too much hype, or something else??

He could turn it around, he's young enough, it definitely doesn't seem like his year though... Never heard a player being too tall... Tell that to Dave Winfield...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I'm still hanging on and will until team needs demand I cut him loose.

No idea if he'll turn it around, but we know that he does have power.

This year, he's taking more walks (15.6% up from 9.6% in '11), getting on base, and hitting doubles (XBH% only slightly down from last year, despite the lack of HRs).
He's getting little lucky on BABip and he's hitting too many ground balls, but I think there's reason enough to hold for the time being, in leagues with deep benches.
