Might be your last chance to get him. Angels have a way of improving pitchers at the major league level. Say what you will about Scioscia but he knows the pitching game probably as well as anybody working. All Angels pitchers are usually worth a look. Williams factiods:

Pitched well in audition last year
Given 5th spot despite talented Garrett Richards behind him. Williams being out of options contributed, but it was no gimme
Was given huge vote of confidence after nervous debut in Yankee stadium
In informal poll of Mariners hitters, Williams came in second just behind Weaver as "guy on Angels staff" you least want to face
In a road start with 90+ pitches on the board today, they sent Williams back out to pitch the 7th and he sailed through
12 Ks in his last two starts

His velocity is up to 92-93 with heavy sink but the real difference maker is the cutter and his is a good one. As things stand right now he's probably the Angels 4th with Santana pitching the way he has.

Nice story of a guy who had some growing up to do. Paid his dues in Taiwan and is making the most of a second chance. Worth a look if you need pitching.

Eh, I don't know... He's kinda old to get excited about in most leagues...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I'ma break that sentence down there, Sparky:

"He's" agreed definitely male
"kinda old" dang Ageist. he's 30.
"to get excited about" nobody said anything about getting excited, just saying the guy is throwing well, has some upside on that team
"in most leagues" definitely an AL only and deep mixed now. I'm guessing he might be a regular mixed play too

Finally...puka shells

In ten games for the Angels last year, he had a 104 ERA+ with 28 Ks in 44 IP. This year, he has a 51 ERA+ with 7 Ks in 9.1 IP.

I'm not tantalized, I admit.

Chris you missed today's start. Drop the Yankee start for which he wasn't prepared and just look at the last two. The stuff is legit. 7.9 k/9 last two starts. Small sample but promising. Angels will eventually get it together. He's one of these guys that has talent that he's finally cashing in on. Guy is being overlooked in my opinion.

There's a ton of quality starters available these days, no need to go slumming with this dude. However I admit I spot started him this week for danny Hudson.
