I picked up Milone for tonight's game vs Chi and dude is dealing. Can I expect more of the same from him, or should I cut him loose? Was going to drop him for Drabek's start tomorrow night against Baltimore.

Or, would you rather have Johan?

Thoughts?

Do you really think Johan will be the real deal this year? I get that he had 11k's today, but he'll have IP limits all year.

Tommy Milone has a WHIP under 1.00, and can go deep, innings-wise, in ball games.....He won't K anybody ever, but he sure keeps your ratios neat and tidy. In a league that counts Quality Starts, like mine, he's terrific.

I'd rather have Milone over Johan, especially with innings concerns (I can't have a guy who only pitches 5 innings every other game, cause those don't count as QS's)....but, that's just me.

Milone is very good because he eats innings, is very steady and helps you ERA and WHIP. he wont get you the strikeouts, and the although he is 3-0 you cant count on the wins, but it often seems like you win or lose the week more often because of the guy who blows up as your fourth starter, Milone will rarely lose you the week. Thats a great attribute in a guy who is probably slotted in your 4th spot or beyond. I think it gives him value beyond his numbers.

My RCL SPs are Kershaw Lince Anibal Ubaldo Humber. Would anyone drop Ubaldo or Humber for Milone? Lot's of RPs right now so can really only carry 5 starters. I like what you said, conman, I'd rather have consistency in my 4th and 5th SPs than upside.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
