I'm in my first fantasy baseball league this year and looking for a little help from this great site. It's a 6 player H2H league so my lineup is pretty strong, and I like that my pitching staff is probably the strongest in my league, since the majority of my hitters are off to brutal starts so I can always count on winning most of the pitching categories.

Someone just dropped Brian McCann (who looks like will be healthy when he is off the DL) so I am looking to pick him up to replace Soto who is sucking right now. Could anyone tell me who they think I should drop in order to get him? Guerrero and Smoltz are on my DL right now (would it make sense to drop Smoltz since he is pretty far from returning? I think someone would likely just pick him up for their DL if I dropped him). Or is there someone that is clearly the weakest on my team? Or would it just be best to trade someone for another catcher? Any advice on other ideas would also be much appreciated.

Starting Positions: 1 C, 2 CI, 2 MI, 4 OF, 1 Util, 5 SP, 2 RP
My roster:
C Geovany Soto
CI Chipper Jones
CI Lance Berkman
CI Aramis Ramírez
MI Rafael Furcal
MI Derek Jeter
MI, OF Alexei Ramírez
OF Grady Sizemore
OF Jacoby Ellsbury
OF Raúl Ibañez
OF Nelson Cruz
OF Josh Hamilton
OF Vladimir Guerrero DL

SP Joba Chamberlain
SP Johan Santana
SP Justin Verlander
SP Ted Lilly
SP Josh Johnson
SP Josh Beckett
SP Cole Hamels
SP Chad Billingsley
SP John Smoltz DL
RP Mariano Rivera
RP Joe Nathan
SP, RP Brandon Morrow

Thanks guys.

Wow, your league is shallow. Yeah, you can lose Smoltz to get McCann. Not sure he's going to be that much better than Soto, but it's worth the chance that he might be.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
