this is abominable, against the M's no less! I feel like cutting bait on Scherzer and going fishing in the stream.

I told myself if I can't start him at home against the Mariners who can I start him against. A 9.0 ERA and 2.4 Whip later I guess I know the answer to my own question. He is staying stapled to my bench until he strings together a couple of decent starts. Thanks Max for ruining the gem of a game Bumgarner pitched for me yesterday.

well I dropped him. I figure nobody will pick him up for his start against the yanks at this point, so I can probably pick him back up if I want.

I actually did the same and dropped him for Chacin's start tomorrow against the Pirates. For a back end of the rotation guy for me I would rather just keep a bench spot available to stream a pitcher than worry if he can ever get a handle on his control issues. Makes it more fun.

I know he has a history of being all over the place - hot/not, control/none...
Wouldn't you think he was tipping his pitches? Or were the Mariners so embarassed about being perfecto'd that they decided to focus a bit more on the Scherzer tape before the game and in the batters box?
I started him over Johan Santana yesterday... crud.
