I only had room for one guy, so I grabbed Romo. Seems like it'll be a bit before one guy truly emerges as the new closer, but I think Romo is the best bet.

Bochy says closer by committee, but Romo gets first shot.

He turned to Casilla last year though and he was pretty good filling in for Wilson.
B says he might even use Lopez... I hope you have a big bench.

I added Casilla in several leagues this evening after hearing the news, but tonight Casilla was brought into the game in the 8th with a 3-3 tie... Casilla seemed like the more likely option because he is who Bochy used last year to fill in, but Romo is the better pitcher and it seems like he was held in reserve tonight...

If you had to choose one, would it still be Casilla, Grey??

You'd think Romo is the guy, based on the #s but I think he struggles with closing for some reason. It is a gut thing - I've seen him pitch only 2-3 times...

In what turns out to be a stroke of dumb luck, I picked up Casilla the day before. I had heard that Wilson got plunked in the ankle so I picked up Casilla in a "just in case" scenario. Casilla's numbers are solid, but somehow he hasn't been used much in a true setup man's role, with very few HLDs in his career.

I would not have done it if O'Flaherty had not looked so awful in his last two IP. (Why was he left in to face Hart after not looking sharp at all is beyond me. His numbers are far superior vs. lefties)

(The plight of a deep HLDs league owner)
