This was put forward in my league, and I thought it was pretty interesting. There are some pretty fierce combos out there. I'm not sure where A-Rod is gonna hit, but if it's next to Tex, he'll be on here too. FWIW, I voted for Utley/Howard. Who do you think?

Pu/Ludwick (Cards)
Carlos Lee/Berkman (Stros)
Young/Hamilton (Texas)
Mags/Miggy (the D)
Manny/Kemp (LAD)
Utley/Howard (Philly)
Braun/Fielder (Brew)

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Thinking about this a bit more, I think I'm being unfair to my hometown heroes. What would you say the best stat is to (try to) quantify this question? Without getting too nerdy, I'd say OPS? Using 2008 as a benchmark, here is how they rank:

Pu was #1 in the MLB with 1.114.
Ludz was #6 in the MLB with .996.

Utley - 14, .915
Howard - 28, .881

Using this method, the closest to the Cards would be A-rod and Tex, who were #7 and #9. After that it's Texas, and Josh H/Kinsler at 16 and 22.

I guess it depends on your opinion of Ludwick. Last year's breakout was crazy, but I would say if we were arguing 2008 1-2 combos, it would have to be Albert/Ludz. For what it's worth, in this young season, Ludwick ranks 5 overall in OPS (Pu is 16).

I just convinced myself. I'm changing my vote to Pujols/Ludwick.

HearHear, AlbertAlbert!

But taken over a career I'd have to go Utley/Howard also.

Soriano/ARamirez should probably be on that list. Not at the top, but somewhere in the mix.

i vote pujols/ludwick. they've picked up right where they left off last year.
and the list also needs to include the intimidating giants 1-2 combo of molina and lewis. they have the potential for a 100/30/100 year.......combined.
