Am I the only one not hatin' on Garrett? Or am I the overly optimistic stooge about to get Pronk'd?

I like him this year (especially nl-only) 'cause he's got near identical splits against lefty/righties (although he's totally homeschooled in BA/OBP), he's relatively cheap now, hitting 4th at coors and 1b/3b eligible.

I know this guy has dropped in every category for 3 years now. But even with no Holliday, I really just can't see how this guy can get worse. But 0-11 to start is making me a bit nervous.

So.....anyone have a projection on him this year? I'm thinking about talking him up when he starts hitting and shipping him out. But I don't know.....I'd rather be the guy that got rewarded for going out on a limb.

So you're the only one excited about him and even you want to get rid of him? Hmm... 2009 projections for Atkins can be found on the site. As for his turnaround, everyone's down on him because for the last three years he's regressed every year in his power numbers. A terrible sign. Could he have a hot month and end up with 30 HRs on the year? Sure. But his last three years aren't painting that picture.
