I've watched all 3 home runs. The one off Halladay was an 89mph floater that didn't sink. I could see the steam coming out of Roy's ears, he was livid! Then the next night he hits an 87mph above the belt fastball off of Ryan. He's either going through a long spell of "dead arm" period, or he just doesn't have it anymore. I remember a year or two after Pat Hentgen had Tommy John his velocity went downhill and retired. Of course it's unlikely this is same thing, Hentgen was like 6 years older. Ryan opted out of WBC because he wasn't fit, I'm guessing this loss in velocity was the reason. Oh, then Inge hits his third off of BP Litsch. Hmm, I can't really recall what it was, some 87-88 mph junk that didn't move.
Still, it possible he comes close to his 2006 totals. In 2006 he played at 3B all year, which he will this year.
2006 Situational Stats 159 542 83 137 29 2 27 83 43 128 7 4 .253 .313 .463 .776
