This is interesting... Furcal is very surprising. How is Manny being compared though? Isn't this apples and oranges a bit? Manny's in Fenway, at different ages, surrounded by different lineups.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Went into the research believing there was NO WAY Manny could come anywhere close to repeating--batting in the division with 3 of the worst hitting ballparks. I was surprised to find that Sheffield managed quite well. So well, in fact, that his numbers are almost an exact parallel to Manny's w/Sox. Took from that that maybe Manny could do well again w/LAD. Then compared the following years from the best year to see dropoff. Again, identical -6% numbers. Manny's was so great for just .4 of a season that I would take a worst case scenario and project -10% (taking into account another ONE year older) from his last year's 5.0 ppg which leaves him with a still VERY productive 4.5 this year. He has been a pretty consistent, in-shape player (when not faking it). Dodgers will give him lots of love. Research just made me turn the corner on my originally GUT dismal predictions. The numbers speak for themselves.
