Projecting 2011 rebounds

Postby mrcar » Thu Nov 04, 2010 8:02 am

So if one of the keys to winning Fantasy Baseball is picking the breakout/rebound guys ... not just picking the steady vets ... who had nagging injuries or circumstances that artificially suppressed their 2010 production? And why do you think they're rebound next year?

Mark Reynolds; he played half the year with a nagging leg injury, had a concussion, sprained ankle, and a messed up thumb...

He's no Tony Gwynn, but I don't see why he can't hit .250 with 35-45 HR's and 15 SB's next year. I'll gladly take that if he drops a long way in the draft board. He hit 32 HR's despite all of his injuries this year... if he's healthy I expect him to reach 40 HR's again in 2011.

I expect Reyes to rebound before aggravating his hamstring in July.

Beckham should probably improve...I don't know how he could do worse. Russ Martin and HanRam should have bounce back years.

Morneau and Bay need replacement brains, but I expect better years from them, too.
I like sports with balls in them.

Have to agree with the Admiral, re: Reynolds. Career BABIP .323. 2010, .257.
