JP Arencibia...

Postby Hebrew Hammer » Wed Aug 04, 2010 2:20 pm

just a heads up...with John Buck heading to the DL it appears the Blue Jays brass will call on young stud catcher JP Arencibia to take his place. I would imagine he would split time with veteran Jose Molina, but surely get the lion's share of playing time. He has 31 big flies in the minors this season.

Could be a nice find for those of you who just lost Carlos Santana. I picked up Johnny Jaso to take his place, but I'm now gonna roll with Arencibia.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

Any more analysis on the guy? Should we expect low average, high power, Chris Snyder (or John Buck) type numbers?

I'll be going over him in tomorrow's roundup. He's a catcher with pop -- a Buck type sounds about right.

Just as a word of caution Las Vegas is an extreme hitters park. Might be wise to temper expectations.

I tempered my expectations and all I got was this crazy 4/5 3 RBI 2 HR game.

The t-shirt I'm making cuz J.P. pretty much saved my week today.

Molina and Morrow have been paired up all season long and Cito wasn't ready to break them up. I don't think anyone can argue with that decision given Morrow's performance today.

He could have put Lind at first, sat Overbay, and DH'd Arencibia, but I guess he has as much faith in Lind's fielding as I do. He'll probably get the majority of the starts until Buck's return.
