I like you getting Welker in that deal. I guess it depends upon what his needs are... if he's very weak at TE and is also at RB2 or RB3 if you play 3 deep then yes I think it can work. If JJ is just a bench stash for him then probably not. I'm assuming Gates is a big upgrade for him otherwise the deal wouldn't make much sense.
