Need to make a trade

Postby danimal35 » Tue Sep 08, 2009 1:00 pm

I have AP, Portis and Ronnie B starting at RB

I have Rice, Felix Jones, Donald Brown, Kevin Faulk, James Davis and Caddy on the bench

My WRs are weak with Holt, Mason, Harvin and Chris Henry

I do not have a kicker yet and need to make roster space for one so I want to make a 2 for 1 trade with two RBs for a WR

It is a PPR and .5 pt per carry league

I think a Caddy/Faulk combo might net me a mid-tier receiver or I could try trading Portis/?? for a top-tier WR but I think Portis' value will be a little higher after week 1 (since it is so down right now)

Any targets/suggestions?

If you can get anything for Caddy and Faulk I would move them. I know Caddy is the "#1" right now, yet I doubt his value is higher than it is right now... and TB backfield looks to be a fantasy disaster until somebody goes down.... and I don't really see a scenario where you would ever start Faulk.

I would definitely look to move Portis + one of your WR for a WR upgrade now -- ahora, arribe, arrrribe. Betts is the 3rd down back, which is going to kill Portis' value in a PPR. Dude faces the Giants in Week 1 -- the results maybe real ugly.

BTW -- That is the most ridiculous set of RBs I have seen in a long, long time in a non keeper league.

I saw the Graham owner had a decent set of WR with Colston and Jennings

What do you think of offering Portis and Caddy for Colston and Moreno?

I know that .5 pt per carry really bolsters RBs where Portis was in the top 5 last year even with the late season tailspin and I've said before I think that "no Portis on 3rd down" business is a little bit of lip service

I like that trade for you. You're right about needing receivers, and I think your best option would be to move Portis, I don't think the other will you net you much improvement over your current WRs.
