I've been playing QB roulette so far and will continue for the foreseeable future.

I've tried to trade James Starks for other teams' backup QBs (guys like Kolb, Big Ben, Flacco, etc.) but no dice.

I do have one offer:

I get Matt Stafford and Mike Tolbert

I give one of my big 3 RBs: McFadden, McCoy, or Forte

I hate to trade those guys, as they've all been elite so far (and it's PPR). But Stafford is a beast and I can slot Starks, Tolbert, or one of my many WR into flex, depending on matchup.

I'm concerned about Stafford's health, and I also wonder if Stafford + matchups flex is any better than Stud RB + matchups QB.

My team has been top scoring in the league so far, so I'm not desperate, but what does the collective Razzball community think?

Here's an interesting post regarding selling high:

Matt Stafford, QB, Lions

I saved the most insane sounding one for last. You're probably a little confused as we’ve pimped Stafford for two years as a great talent, and he is one. The issue is his health and we just aren’t ready to buy in. Here’s our advice on Stafford.... Make SURE you have a plan B. One quick and easy move is to roster Shaun Hill as a backup. That way you at least keep all of Stafford’s weapons if the whammy hits. Another move is to cash in on Stafford right now or next week if he goes off again as we expect he will. THE KEY here is to not give him away. You have to make a plus move or you just keep him. He’s a stud, so you need a stud in return. In one of my leagues, I have Vick, Stafford and Cam Newton. I’m moving Stafford first and will probably move either Vick or Newton later on. And, before anybody busts by blank, this was an auction league. I didn’t drop all my money on Vick. My big buy was Ray Rice. I just kept spending as the numbers were too low to hold off. The point is, if you are built to move a QB and you have Stafford, you can cash in now. If he is the key to your success, then you have a more complex situation and maybe you keep him and pray for continued health and go the Shaun Hill route. We put him here as a reminder of his inherent risk and his current value--both of which are very significant. As good as he has been, you can’t start counting your chickens just yet. His throwing shoulder is still a ticking time bomb that may or may not go off.

I would not do that deal for Stafford.

I am looking to trade for stafford in one of my leagues. I don't believe a line of that post about his shoulder. I am more worried about Best and Megatron than Stafford getting injured. Id sell Forte for Tolbert and Stafford. Tolbert or Starks as a flex with an elite QB is a big upgrade for you.

I agree that Stafford is a sell high candidate. If he holds up he'll be a top 8 QB, but he's not gonna throw 3 TD's every game like he's been doing.

If he's your best guy you're rolling the dice from here on out but if he's your backup, cash in now.

Should I trade Forte for Rivers straight up? Hasselbeck has been damn good, and RBs are at a real premium this year.

I'm still trying to work out a deal with some bench guys for a Kolb type. I'm not crazy about plugging Starks in at flex after his last game (ditto Tolbert), but then again I have Nate Washington. Not to mention Denarius Moore, David Nelson, and potentially Kendall Hunter if the matchups are there.
