The top 5 in both categories in 2011 were better than the best of 2012.

Not surprising that pitching was slightly worse this year, but surprised the average was all the way down to 3.72... Would think it would still be closer to 3.50-60...

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is. Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions. Is your league H2H? Roto? I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from. If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters. I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

It seems like a lot of work to have a low ERA. One bad night can undo 2 weeks of solid pitching. That's how it felt for me, anyways. Every time I got near 3.50, a couple bad starts and a relief pitcher giving up 3 runs in a third of an inning would shoot it back up. I'm amazed when someone has an ERA around 3.

Yeah, I hear ya... When things are going well, like my pitching in the 2nd half it felt the opposite... I'd have so many quality starts that I'd get one bad one and my ERA wouldn't go up much at all...
