Tiers would be based on RCL finish this year. For example everyone who finished top 4 could be in tier 1(champion). 5-8 tier two(veteran). New players and 9-12 make up tier 3(noob).

Then next year teams are relegated or move up based on finish. You could do some advertising along the lines of "with your way into an expert league with Rudy and Grey and so-and-so."

This may increase activity as teams out of the running for first place would still have some incentives.

The competitive index concerns may be lessened as the index could be calculated within a particular tier.

Thoughts?

As it works now, Razzball can let commenters set up their own leagues and just check that they all have the same settings and let them play. Probably would involve more organization to implement tiers. I don't speak for Razzball, but they may want to keep it simple.

Rudy and I will take it into consideration but seems like too much work.
