 Post subject: Weekly Update (June 13)

The Razzball Commenter League standings have been updated through games of Sunday, June 12.

It is very tight at the top of the standings right now. 2 teams snuck past the Pesky Pole Dancers (Trippin' Baseballs) this week to take over the lead. The Dancers held at 105 points, but THE VILLE AL KOHOLIC A (ECFBL) and That's a shame (The Dread Pirate Rides Again) are tied with 106.

AL KOHOLIC A hit .289 with 53 runs, 21 HR, 50 RBI, and 7 SB. Matt Kemp lead the way with 4 home runs and 8 driven in while hitting .400. Jacoby Ellsbury (.467) and Carlos Gonzalez (.452) each contributed 14 hits and a couple of steals. Their pitching, led by Jhoulys Chacin, Zack Greinke, and Alexi Ogando, recorded 5 wins and 3 saves with 66 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.48 and 1.18 WHIP.

That's a shame hit .284 with 55 runs, 7 HR, 40 RBI, and 6 SB. Michael Cuddyer hit .391 with 2 home runs and 8 RBI to lead the team. Adrian Beltre added a homer and 5 ribbies, hitting .423. Justin Verlander, Matt Cain, Shawn Marcum, Jair Jurrjens, and Huston Street led them to 4 wins and 5 saves with 56 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.81 and 0.86 WHIP.

San Pedro Guitarristas (Razzy Number 13) gained 15 points and jumped 145 places in the standings. Their pitching led the way, winning 5 and saving 6, while putting up an ERA of 1.27 and WHIP of 0.87. Francisco Liriano, Jordan Zimmermann, and Shaun Marcum paced San Pedro. They also hit .300 with 16 HR, 50 RBI, and 7 steals.

The top-hitting team for the week was My Little Colby (Ones are GOOD, right?). They hit .353 (101/286) with 20 home runs and 69 runs batted in. Colby also scored 65 runs and stole 6 bases. Adrian Gonzalez, Prince Fielder, and David Ortiz combined for 11 home runs and 36 RBI to lead My Little Colby.

On the pitching side, Ghostface Kila (RCL 12), led by Tommy Hanson, Zack Greinke, and Jon Lester, recorded 9 wins and 6 saves with 80 Ks. Their ERA was 2.88 with a WHIP of 0.99.

Team R (League of Razz and Balls) won 7 and had 4 saves with 84 strikeouts. They had an ERA of 2.04 and a WHIP of 1.02. Their staff includes Cliff Lee, Tommy Hanson, and Ted Lilly.
