ECFBL trade: Acme Explosives traded Dan Uggla to El Macho Borracho for Ryan Theriot & Josh Beckett.
More good pitching lines thanks to Tomlin, Lewis, Hanson, Pineda, JJ, and Marcum. (and no thanks to Lincecum & Lee).
There were also 10 saves, 22 steals, and 23 home runs Monday.
Sox 35th (RCL 17) edges out Well Played, Mauer (Razzbawl #36) for Team of the Day. Led by Michael Brantley, they hit .383 with 1 HR, 11 RBI, 3 steals, and 7 runs scored. The pitching, featuring Hanson and Lewis, chipped in with 2 wins and 21 Ks, along with an ERA of 0.47 and 0.63 WHIP.
Well Played, Mauer, led by Brantley and LaPorta, hit .362 with 2 HR, 13 RBI, 2 steals, and 13 runs scored. On the pitching side, thanks to Hanson and Scherzer, they recorded 1 win and 2 saves with 16 strikeouts. Their ERA and WHIP were 1.50 and 0.94 respectively. Probably would have been TOD if they had also started Pineda. Sonavabench!
