Roto 5X5 10 team keeper league:
So you know the strategy of nominating expensive players early so other owners spend their money? That was my plan with Kinsler...and I ended up with him. OH WELL. We had 36 keepers out of 10 teams, so you can imagine that most of the real studs were already off the board. My only keeper was Lincecum @35. The next year a kept player is +$5. I don't love my team absent a first round hitter (and Chone @ 3B!), and I didn't have the stamina to last into the $1 prospects. Our free agents are $3 so with $7 left I have a little room to play. Suggestions are welcome. This is a very active/trade heavy league. P.S. Hanley went for $50, our first half century player. Thanks and go Phils.

You look like you're a bit heavy on speed and light on power. You don't need all of these spped only guys. Figgy, Andrus, Victorino, Morgan... Etc. Too much. It's killing your power --> HRs and RBIs. Your pitching looks okay. I don't trust Scherzer, but if you do that's fine. You will have an issue with WHIP.

Power is going to be a problem. My best hope is do well early in steals/K's and package two guys for HR. When Figs gets his 2B back he might be more marketable. This was a tough year for keepers; most of the kept players were top 40 hitters. I didn't have the stones push Braun to $46 and didn't pursue Mig Cab aggressively @ $40 b/c I had him last year. At least it's an active trading league. Thanks and good luck with your teams.
