Jose Reyes

Postby bastein » Sun Mar 28, 2010 4:34 pm

I'm picking 4th in a 12 team league, head-to-head. Any thoughts out there on where Jose Reyes is being picked recently. Thinking of grabbing him in the 4th possibly, 3rd feels like a reach....

Anyone have any input from recent drafts??

Thanks...

just did my $100 12 team yahoo H2H draft sat morning, picked from the turn 12th slot, took howard/wright first two, then votto/reyes on the turn in the 3rd/4th rounds.

I would take him in the 3rd round IF he's there with your pick. If you wait til the 4th? He might not be there... how bad do you want him is the question?

I did not have him targeted mainly because I didn't think he'd EVER make it to me in my league? and votto suprised me too, i was thinking cano/grandy in the 4th.... and there came reyes/votto.... so thats my story. Hopefully it helps.

I had the 11 spot and got him in the 4th (38th pick). I think that was probably a small reach but he fit into my team mold and I didn't think he would fall to my next pick (59).....so I pretty much agree with youngy

Yeah that sounds about right, thanks. The more replies the better out there. Reyes isn't a "must have" for me, but the value could be great (3rd or 4th rd even)....

I am picking 11th in a 12 team H2H & I am targeting Reyes in the 4th, or even end of 3rd (depending who's there). I was originally targeting Phillips with that pick, but most of my mocks have with grabbing some combo of Longoria/Wright + Howard/Tex, so Reyes would fit better with my team.

In all my mocks, he's been there in the 5th, my fear is that I pass in 3/4 & Reyes doesn't make it to me, so I'll be grabbing him in the 4th if he's there. If not, I'll grab Phillips.

The guy is risky, but his upside is 1st round value.

He went 5th round (51st) in my league...thats for a 12 team roto...however this was before the news broke that he may be back for opening day, keep that in mind

Personally, I think his upside is too much to let him slide past the end of the 3rd/ top of the 4th round

Would you guys rather have Reyes in the 3rd/4th over the 2nd base tier of Phillip, Roberts, etc.?

I'd want Reyes.

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.

I actually fell into that exact situation, it was the middle of the 4th round and i was staring right at Reyes but i decided on taking Phillips

I have a feeling i will be regretting that by the end of the year.....Its not likely, but still possible that Reyes returns to 1st round talent again
