Just finished my first auction style draft, had been nervous about it because I had only done regualr snake styles up to this point. I've tried some mock auctions and noticed that a lot of people splurge early and have nothing to bid with relatively quickly, so I schooled myself in patience and only drafted for good value early with hopes of scooping up most of the second tier talent when people ran out of money. It worked, and it didnt work. People were spending $50+ on first rounders and I was able to have my pick of players pretty soon in the draft, but I ended up with waaay too much money left over and wish I had spent big on maybe one more impact player... This was a yahoo public league for anyone who wants to take anything away from my experience. Team is in my signature...
