Razzers -

I have McLouth for $3 in a keeper league (keep for 1-3 years at $5 inflation per year). I have my choice of trading him to a team out of the running for verlander or Billingsley, plus an injured Carmona who is coming back soon. McLouth is helping my team this year but i could probably withstand the hit with CB Young replacing him. Trading Deadline is today. 10 team 5x5 h2h

Questions:

1. Is that fair value for McClouth?
2. Would you rather have Billingsley or Verlander for the rest of this season?
3. Thoughts on Carmona this year, and next (i may be able to keep him).

THANKS

What kind of league? Scoring categories? What is the team's roster? Valuable information when determining whether who to go after. But beyond that, Billingsley vs. Verlander? Verlander. Has has a proven track record of success with two full, successful seasons behind him. Billingsley has yet to start 30+ games in a successful season, let alone two in a row. Verlander's control is better, and while he can strike out a lot of batters, I think Billingsley will win out in that category over time. Their ERAs will be comparable, but Verlander's better control will keep his WHIP lower than Billingsley. There isn't a huge gap in talent between the two, but Verlander's track record is just better.

Carmona I'm not totally sold on. I think the Indians were a bit foolish with the big deal they gave him after one good year. Last year he was certainly very good, and this year in limited action was solid, if not a bit erratic at times. His K/9 ratio is pretty weak, and you have to worry about a guy with a hip injury, young or not. If he can stay healthy, he can be a productive fantasy asset, if he can stay healthy.

I agree completely with Hole Camels. Especially on the point what is your team's roster. Do you need Carmona and Verlander? (The one I would target, btw)

If you want me to look at your team, post the team. Don't post a link to another site where the team is.
Have you given me all the info I need to judge your team? The number of teams in the league is a good start for the big overall questions.
Is your league H2H? Roto?
I don't know who's on your waivers. Don't just ask me who you should pick up. Give me names to choose from.
If you only have one team, post your team in your signature with the league parameters.
I don't know every single matchup for next week, so if you want me to choose a player for the following week and you think the matchups are important, tell me who they're facing.
